I have pretty mush re-worked this game...

The Intro is different, the stroy remains simular...

Intro:-
Starts off in a church, there are many babies (Eight of them, laid out on the floor and a ritual is being done by a priest... The Mum's and Dad's of the Children are watching... There are all kinds of elemental flashes towards the children, every thing goes dark... A Demon is seen for a brief 2nd and then every thing become light again... The Priest says "let our children become the carriers of the Fallen Angels, let them be our saviors againts the Evil of Blackthorn... And let the King of Blackthorn fall at their hands... Until the Children are old enough to weld your power, oh Gods, keep them safe".

Screen goes dark - Message text reads "16 years form that day have passed, you awake with a burning sensation on the back of your neck, a tattoo of the Wind Element is inscribed on your neck"....

The Game then starts

The Game

You control Cane Huri a young blue haired boy (Fighter02), your farther tells you about the time at the church and how you must find the others like you and take hold of your destiny and take down the King of Blackthorn (King Harefield), and rid the land of all evil... You soon learn the King knows of the legend of the fallen is has sent his army looking for the 8 children... You have to find them before he does...

Many puzzles will envolve swapping the party around and making use of spells and skills of certain party members...

Navigation

The Navigation of this huge game is fairly easy... I have added the world Map tile set, and boats can be used to traverse the sea (Apart from the light blue area's)... The Kings Boat is also on the ocean... Try to avoid it at all costs... Until your as hard as nails that is...

Story

3 Children born into the world and seperated through a terriable event.  Growing up apart and unaware of their destiny to bring a balance back to the world.  Each child is a child of the Gods, the God of Fire, Eartn and Water... A hell bent king wants them dead and they know nothing of his plots or their heritage.  You start out trying to find your real parants to find they had been killed during the event that seperated you from your simblings.  You must find the artifacts to awaken your own hidden powers and recruit different help as and when needed from a vast world... Will your story cross path's with your simblings ?... Can you over throw the King of Northampton and his whole Army ?...  Are there other children like you on other continents...?

Party
The 3 Main Characters can be named by you.

Child of Fire, Child of Earth and the Child of Water

There are many other Characters through out the game... Like the Troll featured in the screen shots, He takes MASSIVE damage when a spell is cast on him, his hand to hand attacks can crush the enemy... But he Maxes out at Level 10.

All the assist type party members have strong points and floors...

Special Features

Side Quests like Monster Hunting, bit like in FF12.
Puzzles and Dungeons with enviroments that deal damage.
Depth of play, unrestricted movement throughout the world fropm the off.
Coded and passworded area's.
Black Smith to Meld Items into Weapons.
Summon Spells.
Skills awarded through awakening of magic stones.
Building of Event items like boats and stong holds.

I have been making this game in secret, and most of the elements and Maps I am bringing together from all of my dropped projects... This will be my only and final game I make to the end.

So far I have nearly finished half of the Fire Childs Story, not even a 10th of the world is built and that conists of Many maps (37 at the mo)...

Not sure when the game will be finished...

Your old game was the #1 game I was looking forward to on this forum. but after it crashed I was like  . Now seeing that you are back and this game seems to have much progress already I look forward to it lots.

Nice work, LOS. You've worked on..many project over time. (Baha...I'm not the one to be talking of that >.<)

Anyway...the battler dosn't seem to work with the sprite. The battler is that of a male while the character set looks like a female (looks like it anyway). Well...that or it's one strange lady.

Nice sprites, except the eagle "girl" should be an eagle man...

Hummm... I see what you mean...

But the actual Sprite I doubt I will use the side moving anim, I will her / him standing still... The Eagle will fly after you and once made contact the battle will start.

Yep... just by cutting sections of the battler and over laying them on RTP Chars like the Horse and Giant...

map looks good except for one thing. In order for there to be shadow on the side of the moutain, the sun has to hit the hill from one side, and one side only. Having the moutain sadows on both side would be impossible. =D

If the sun hit the place from the front there would be no shadow at all. from the right only left shadow, and from the left only the right shadow.

Maybe your spelling sucks because you type it in rush.
Sometimes rushing can make spelling errors.

Ta... But I like the Title screen... I made it, out of 3 different images... and the Text, I like that too...

I may work on some more, if you want to try making one please do, but I may not use it.

i like ur title page       i just think you could use some work compositionally. maybe have the text on the right corner instead, since the writing is black and that corner is brighter, that way it will show up better and seem to use more of the space. and the text could be bigger.    just for pointers, u don't need to listen to me tho

The Game is moving fairly swiftly at the moment...

I have now done 54 Maps... It has all the Custom monsters in the game...

Oh and I have made it so as you level up or complete certain tasks the monster within that area will become harder, they change a different colour and get new skills, hit harder and have better defence... Some times they may even evolve...

Getting really good fun to play !!!

the "granit monster" is an "earth elemenal"

the blue thing with the 3 pronged mouth is called an "etheral marauder"

wow you go all out when you make a game. It looks great.

Wow, I would really like to play this game...! The way with original sprites is just superb. The grammar is only a small problem, and who cares since this seems to be a good game. It's even going forward in a good speed, but just don't get bored and quit.

The mapping looks good, but they aren't that detailed. Maybe some rocks, flowers, bushes, and so on.

I can add beeches, but they don't sit nice with the sea... The Water tile sets blending into the land was a request in my addon pack that I am making...

You see this game will come packaged in the next addon pack, so people can see how I used the stuff in there, it will also be pretty good fun... And act as a sort of tutorial with many moving events, variable events, sub stories and what not...

I have nticed there are no DECENT fish sprites so I made one.


And I have Made a Spirit Orb - Just a paint splodge with a Layer stlye added... I love photoshop !! (Played with the brightness on some of them, to give it a pulse)


I have made a Animated Crowd Set too.

But, if you're not going to add beaches, at least add swampy areas...

Yes there is a Desert area... and a snowy one... I know what Halestorm5 means... My world map looks very poorly done compared to the maps made by the Guy who made the tile set...

But there is a good reason for my mapping... You will see when you play the game... I mean in world map when you venture outside a town your sprite shrinks like FF7... and you walk around, if I made nice beeches you could potentially walk on the sea... My world Map is done to compensate this... I use one map instead of 3... (One for the boat, one for the world walking and one for flying)... I use one Map as I have pathed it and laid my tiles with simplicity in mind... This game will be shipped with the addon pack i am making, the more tile sets I add the bigger the download... I am working to keep this addon pack under 25meg...

Don't worry when you playing you really don't notice the lack of beeches...LOL

It's a Town called Goldings... I was showing the above screen shot to show how small, but cute you can make the houses look...

I have sort of played with all the different layouts, that can be done with my custom tile set... the combo's you can make are huge !!!

I am well happy with my tile set... I know I am not the best mapper, Can't wait to see what some one like Nouman can do with it !!

Only the first Island is playable, but that's still a fair amount of game time... Gives a good idea of what's to come...

You can travel to other area's I recomend Blackthorn and watching a Hanging or Headchopping... Just don't go in any buildings off of the starting Island, you will get teleported some place random...

I need to make all the interiors and make the story, I also have to build the Islands Arbours and Kingsheath... So be a little patient.

You really should try to hunt down a mapper, or get someone to teach you, you understand the basics well clearly, but I would suggest working more on it.

are you holding a camera to the screen?  Use FRAPS or CamStudio.  You won't get the screen-blurring or the flare on the screen.

I think you need to play the game... The mapping isn't that poor... It's a fairly good looking game.

I will go over each area towards the end and add more to the maps, and shape the Square clumps of grass... I am always updating my graphics and resource content as I go along...
