Probleme with SW Synth volume

I'm working on things in tabit and I'm using a song for ideas in media player. Every time I play the song in Media Player my SW Synth volume goes all the way down. So then I have to go to volume control and change it back to hear my music in tabit. Is there any way to disable Media Player from changing it? And I'm using the most recent Media Player.

Any reason you're using something as huge as Windows Media Player to play tiny midis?

I use this midi player called (the name is really cheesy but it's a really good midi player) VanBasco's Karaoke Player. It's freeware =)
