Dark evil etc setups/characters/whatever

Hey, I just got into rpg maker, and i'm liking it, buuutt..
Its so light and happy looking. Are there any packs out there that make it look a bit more dark and gloomy? Black rocks, dead trees, dark brown water, dark soot and dirt, more fire, darker lighting, big black dragons or demons, etc?

I'm experimenting a bit still but if I ever want to make a serious project and game, all of them sort of have that feel to them, think death metal, in RPG form, 

So if there is anything like what i'm looking for out there, could anyone direct me to it? thanks!

Those are awesome. For added effect, you could add a dark fog to maps to make them look gloomy, though that wouldn't work for all maps.
