Jumping out from a map in to another ...

Hi again! I'm really n00bish this week, so plizz, HELP ME!! xD

My problem now is I want to have the player jump or climb over an obstacle in the edge of one map in to another map ... I mean like:

-Jump?
-Yes!
>The character in the game jumps out of the screen and it turns black. Then a new map shows up and the character comes, still jumping, over the same obstacle but in the other end.

You get it?

i suppose you could change screen color tone to black, teleport, and then have a paralell process which has the player jump, as well as changes the screen color tone back to normal. If you are confused, just post and I'll make a demo.

and one thing more ... what does parallel process actually do? I don't really get that so if you could tell me that too it would be wonderful :D thanks

ok, scroll camera(so that character's jump location is off screen
have a small area off screen that the character jumps to
fade to black
teleport
have camera set so that character is off scene
fade back
jump back in.

that's what I'd try for.

Parallel process is an event that automaticly starts and repeats.
