In need of Tutorial [Resolved]

Hello guys im new to this RPG maker stuff and i was wondering if someone can or allready has made a tutorial for this:

I want to know how to make it so when your character starts off in a map it can't leave the map untill he/she has spoken to a specific person and if he trys to walk of the map a window pops up saying something like E.G

I think you should try speaking to such and such before leaving.

You need to learn something called switchs, rather than explaining it, use the search button and look for -
'switchs'

Im pretty sure there is a tutorial somewhere

mm yes thanks for that but i tryed searching for "Switchs" and all i could find was when someone used the word switch sorry if i sound like some annoying prick but if some has a link to one allready made on these forums that would be great i'll continue looking if i find one i'll just edit this post.
