Could anyone make me a non-SDK Mini-map, where events show up as yellow dots?

Any help would be much obliged!
Games in progress:
Tome of Arastovia: 7% complete at 2 hours of gametime

Squall made a minimap at one point, it may be SDK though, not like it matters :P
