Need more help since i suck!

How do u etc after a character has talked to u given u a "quest" to retrive an item when u arrive whit it u get an award and the item u came whit is taken away! (Heres how failure my attemt was i could get the reward whitout having the item whit me i could get it over and over again) someone help!!!

Use a conditional branch to check to see if you actually have the item before he takes it from you and gives you the reward.
