Anyone here seen it?

I've seen it twice. It had been a LONG time since I read the book (at least ten years) and it was a favorite book of mine. If I remember correctly, the movie stayed pretty faithful, and I'm glad they aren't doing that crap they're doing with releasing the books in chronological order. ><

Anyway, I expect to get yelled at severely for this statement, but I liked it more than Lord Of The Rings; and definately Harry Potter. In fact, I actually hated LOTR, and feel it's overrated beyond belief... but that's another topic.

The soundtrack to the movie was great too. It's too bad the composer was only contracted for one movie... Maybe they'll sign him for Prince Caspian too.

The last half hour or so (I don't want to give anything away, so I'm estimating time here) was my favorite part of the movie, and on second viewing, payed more attention to the score, and it's where the best music is too.

Well... thoughts/rants/disagreements anyone?

I watched it... my misses  dragged me to it....

I loved the TV Version... But the film just didn't grab me... It was OK... But not fantastic... Watchable but not an all time great...

I think if your Aged between 6 and 14 your gunna like it... otherwise, you will no doubt watch it once and never again...

I can't wait to see what Blue has to say about this.

Anyway, the whole thing is really ruined by the christian propaganda stuff, though. If you ignore it, though, it's a great movie. But I thought the plot was too short, and I thought the movie did little to help it.

Bah, that's nonsense, I'm 20, and several people my age and older love it.

But, of course, it was a children's book, and is a children's movie.

I think most of the older people go seeing it with that thought in mind, thus psychologically negating their actual enjoyment of the movie.  :P

Humm... I loved the TV version years ago, and the books... but this film felt slightly empty... Its lost its magic for me... Just like the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the new starwars films etc...

I would not rush out and buy it on DVD... Nor will I go out of my way to watch it again.... It was a watchable film...

My GF loved it, so did one of my mates, except he said the Lion Killing bit wasn't Violent enough, not even close to the book version...

To be Honest the only thing I liked about the film was the creature animation and the Beavers London like banter... Other than that the acting sucked there was no force in the fight seens and it was lame in action... I had no feeling for the Kids, infact I really hoped (Peter) the main guy would die... I wanted the bad guys to win !!!... They good guys are too yucky... LOL

Any way my Opinion on films sucks... so go watch it, you will no doubt love it...

My Film Recomendation is SIN CITY !!!!

Your greatest flaw is that you have a soul.
Ah yes. I loved the books. I liked the series. I absolutely LOVED cartoon movie version. The cartoon series version were very good. And I liked the movie a lot. The end of it wasn't as magical as it should have been and a lot of effect was lost since they tried making it suitable for younger ages, but they acting was excellent, lion was made perfectly and the relationship between Lucy and Faun was magical. You could actually sense something between then and that really impressed me. And yes, I especially loved a moment of silence before the fight.

I thought it was quite good, preferred the book ( no ugly English actors... )... Uhh, odd for me to say this, but I don't remember the Christian propaganda...

LOS: I loved the new Charlie and the Chocolate factory, I felt the original film to be an utter disgrace. At least this version had more of an adult theme, with the delicious implications of cloning added.. >_>

I enjoyed the book very much. I didn't exactly feel the same about the movie. I don't quite know why.

This movie I think was Okay but its the symbolism that really stuck it to me. Of course the Lion Represents Jesus/God and of his death Burial and Resurection. The queen represents satan and followers demons. The stone represents that satan tries to harden people so they can't believe but wth Jesus (or in this case aslan) will let you see the Light.
