Stupid n00b needs some help

In my new rpg iv made it so you can choose your name from the beging. Is there a way to make it so that people say the name that you coose at the begining of the game. Please help

well rpg maker (at least mine) comes with a default, in messages type
\N[n]
Inserts the name of hero n.

If you enter the first charactors name, the statement should read \N[1]

*Beware you have to get the \ correct. / will not work

i once made a demo of one of my games that freaked out a couple of my beta testers i asked them to email me if they wanted to test and i sent them a version with theri own name in. the first message in the game was... your name is...

freaked them out
