Cut Scenes

Ok. A friend of mine and I am making a game using RPG Maker XP. I'm the story writer and map maker. My friend handles events. Now, is what I would like to know is cut scenes and how far/good you can get them. He's going to learn how to make them, but since im the story writer and I have to do the script, I really don't know how far I can take them. Such as a person dies, and the main charater gets pissed and punches a wall. Or even a person drawing his/her sword. Please, can someone tell me how complex I can get with cut scenes in RPG Maker XP please?
