Global Warming does Exsist... Global warming is the observed increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans in recent decades...
Now there has been a steady rise most of the observed warming over the last 50 years is likely to have been attributable to human activities...
The main cause of the human-induced component of warming is the increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases especially carbon dioxide, due to activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, land clearing, and agriculture.Greenhouse gases are gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect.
An increase in global temperatures can in turn cause other changes, such as a rising sea level and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. These changes may increase the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as floods, droughts, heat waves, hurricanes, and tornadoes. Other consequences include higher or lower agricultural yields, glacial retreat, reduced summer stream flows, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors. Warming is expected to affect the number and magnitude of these events; however, it is difficult to connect specific events to global warming. Although most studies focus on the period up to 2100, warming (and sea level rise due to thermal expansion) is expected to continue past then, since CO2 has an estimated atmospheric lifetime of 50 to 200 years.
The Damage is pretty much done... It can only really get worst... Unless we take drastic measures:-

A Nobel Prize-winning scientist has proposed a controversial method for protecting Earth from global warming: seeding the atmosphere with sulfur to reflect the sun's rays.

Technical fixes like filling the stratosphere with billions of silver balloons to reflect the sun's rays, or spraying the oceans with iron to make them suck up the gases causing global warming, should be developed as a safety net, they said. Some even felt the technology should be adopted regardless of need, because it would create a better world in which we could twiddle with the planet's temperature like a domestic thermostat.
What ever happens it shouldn't effect us in our life time... But if you could come up with some thing to fix the issue or slow it you could earn millions...
My Idea
Work on developing Solar like panels for All roofs... and buildings, that have organic plant like material in them, and mixture of Bio and mechnic struture, to use the light from the sun to make photo-Synth-isis.... Still out putting more Oxygen and killing off Carbon... In a Sense it will be like having Leaves all over your house that look like modern tiles...
Along side that make Large stuctures over the Sea's Surface equal to the land mass lost in say the last million years and cover it in vast vegitation equal to that lost in the Rain forrests, on there as well as plant life we could have endangered animals etc...
This will dampen the effects and slow them down not stop them... Some thing that could be created to help shield the effects is to Launch a Large amount of Lenses like those on the new light reactive glass (Transition Lenses) to refact rather than reflect the light, to dampen the effects... again not stopping them, as Sun light is a Natural effect needed for plant life to live...
I feel what ever we do has to be a Natural as possible...
