can someone make me a script please?

  All i want is a simple script or tutorial on how to make it so you can make a boat move on water and not land and a character can move on land and not water

I did this in my game easily with events. Just make water walkable on, have a boat graphic, and make the border of the coast of the land near where you want to get on your boat not walkable on, then use an event that changes your character's sprite graphic into a boat, and teleports you (or something of the sort) onto the water near a dock or something. I hope this is helpful because I have no idea if this made any sense at all.
