Nah, I haven't written anything yet.  But I'm planning to. The idea behind this project of mine is that I take songs from more recent video games (N64/PSX era and up) and rearrange them into NES-style chiptune songs. The only problem is, I'm at a complete loss for what to choose as songs. I want to pick only one song from each game series (aka one mario song, one FF song, etc), and still choose songs that any casual gamer would recognize (meaning no obscure, hardcore-gamer-catered songs). So, I figured I'd ask the golden children at RMRK for help. Here I have the list thus far, and I'll keep updating with your suggestions.

1. Bob-Omb Battlefield (Super Mario 64)
2. J-E-N-O-V-A (Final Fantasy VII)
3. Title Theme (Morrowind)
4. Gerudo Valley (Ocarina Of Time)

Thanks in advance, and let's hope I actually continue through with this and finish an album for once!

If you're in for a challenge, you could do

The Tragic Prince (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)

It's popular enough for you to do, I think.

Hm... ah jeez, this is actually kind of tough. I'll have to come back later with more ideas.

Arrow

Vampire Killer. That's been in pretty much every Castlevania game evar.

Also, The Katamari Damacy.

Though I never played Zelda... That Zelda theme everyone knows about?

Alright, well I've done a small sample of Bob-Omb Battlefield to give you an idea of the album's sound. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Reives

No suggestions here but I'd tap that.

Winged

I think "One Winged Angel" in "Final Fantasy VII" is a pretty well know song
