I just installed vista RC2 x64. I perfectly installed both RMXP and the RGSS. When I open the software, it gives me an error message sating "Cannot get Trial Key from nTiles..." and then it just close... Do you know how to "fix" it or make a manual activation with my key?

I suppose ou don't have an internet connection setup? The first time RMXP (legal) is started on a computer and every year again, RMXP connects to ntitles to update the keyinformation.

If you did not yet activate rmxp, a window should pop up where you can enter the activation key, so the serial is downloaded form the internet.

I have internet... I<ll check, maybe it<s Windows Defenser that is blocking it... I,ll try to disable it

EDIT: It doesn't work.I know how it works... I was using it on XP before I switched to Vista... When I boot it, it just says ''cannot connect''... I can play/install my game fine...

EDIT2: Don't loose your time anymore, I found the problem. I needed to boot it from the installation directory and select ''run as administrator'' rather than just open...

Sorry, I forogt to say: DO you have admin rights XP. Either way, you could change the resolve, read future vista owner!! text by [RESOLVED] (in fornt) and after: Read Vista Owners.

Good Luck with Vista™   ;)

I edited to topic's name

In Vista, at least for the RC2 and earlier, even if you are on an administrator profile, you don't have the admin rights. You must absolutely go into the install directory and rightclick -> run as administrator -> click "allow" a lot of times to get the right and then enter the administration password (if you set up one) each you want a programm to acess the internet (except the navigators).

I know. It is quite 'stupid' However, this way virusses have not a change really, because, wehen a virus attacks, the virus has the same rights as you have. A virus attack on an admin is far worse then on a guest. But now you need to click to get the real admin rights, something a virus can't do.  :tpg:
