Title: [XP][QUESTION]Phoenix Engine
Post by: PhoenixFire on March 08, 2014, 04:11:42 PM
Hello, so, I've been trying to learn scripting for a while now, and now with the coming of a new job thanks to tSwitch, I have even more of a need to learn Ruby, so I'm amping it up a bit, and really pushing myself here. First things first though, I need to know, do I post scripts in progress here, or in the XP database? It's going to be a series of scripts like the SoulEngine ones, except mine are mostly re-writes / overwrites for the default scripts from XP. Thoughts, comments, etc?

I can't say I've ever posted unfinished scripts, so much as I waited until I had a releasable version before posting.

Fair enough. I say unfinished, simply because I'll be continuously improving them and fixing them, etc. So maybe I'll post the as "finished" and simply place in the new code and update the title to reflect the new versions, if and when I update them? Would that make any kind of sense?

Yeah. Coders do that all the time. Just make sure that you post your intent to modify the script so we can check back if we see a coming feature we like!

Yeah, just post in the database.
