I forgot to announce this when it first came out, but Megan and Jessie of Pioneer Valley Games (http://www.pioneervalleygames.com/) have released a massive graphics package which basically serves as a replacement RTP. The graphical style is very different from the RTP, but also quite nice and would give the game a grittier feel (in my opinion). Naturally, one downside is that you will find little in the way of independent resources that would blend. Luckily, there are plenty of resources in this package and the creators of the package have also indicated plans to make more.
All that said, I have not purchased this bundle, so I can't give an opinion on the overall quality of the package. However, the screenshots that have been posted look pretty nice!
Anyway, it is hosted at the RPGMaker Web Store (http://resources.rpgmakerweb.com/high-fantasy-resource-pack/), and it can be purchased for $24.99.
