Title: Ask A Philosopher
Post by: Sashikinaroji on July 25, 2010, 09:17:43 AM
I philosophize and you all ask me questions...

Or, is it I who is asking questions of you? Begging for your questions so that I might have my utter desire to answer your questions satiated?

Your a philosopher now?

Very well, if a tree falls on a mime in the forest, does anyone hear it? Moreover, does anyone even care?

What is a sound but the name given to a vibration? Really, does anything make a sound? I posit that they do not, only vibrations, which we interpret as sounds.

Also, I hate mimes, and believe everyone else does as well. That isn't my thoughts as a philosopher, but my thoughts as a decent human being.

Sounds make vibration, scientifically, we are told this, we hear them when the bones in our ears vibrate due to the vibrations them selves ore slight changes in pressure.

So, the tree would make vibrations, but since we cant "hear" them, do they exist?

And yes, the mime deserved the brunt of the question.
