Wow, looks awesome. I can't believe this is just an event system. It usually takes scripts to make mini-maps, you know?

Well, the size of the minimap depends on the size of your actual map

The only thing I think that this wouldn't work with is a 500x500 map.

I'm thinking of a way to split huge maps into smaller sections, and check the Hero's X Y location to see if he's gone past a certain point, and then just show the next portion of the map.

The only problem with that is getting the cursor position in the right place.

Not so hard if you use modular division.
