[19:49] <Roph> lol should we offer a private subforum thing but do it for free
[19:49] <Roph> just to poke fun at .org charing $15 for one
[19:49] <Roph> or is it $20 =o
[19:49] <Roph> "If you haven't donated before, $20 will make you eligible for a private subforum.
[19:49] <Roph> If you're already a sponsor, all you need to donate is $15!
[19:49] <Roph> And of course to be fair, you can donate $30 all at once for a sponsorship and your private forum!"
[19:49] <Roph> $30 lol if I wanted to buy one now
[19:52] <Roph> http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=922
[19:52] <Roph> theyre using this I guess
[19:55] <Roph> installed, simple mod :o

Do you think we should start something like this? Of course, if we were to do something like this, it will and would always be free :)

We would have to think up some kind of requirements first of course so everyone isn't just wasting their time, but otherwise, yes/no?

A private subforum is your very own subforum. If you have a game development team or another group project, it's a great way to keep in touch with the members of your team, and can serve as a useful base of operations for your work. These subforums will be password-protected, and you will be able to share your password with whoever needs access.

What exactly is it? For project management?

I vote yes, because I need a sub-forum for RMRKU.

As the one that actually inspired the idea (and don't let Despain tell you otherwise!), of course I think it's a good idea.  :P

I'd say yes, but maybe not just anybody can be allowed. Maybe a requirement of posts and team size? At least 3 people and one member having like 200 posts? I don't know... but I do think the private projects subforums are a good idea.

I think you should have them, but don't have them add to your post count.

God knows who will have the time to keep tabs on everything in there.

Personal subforums are great for people that have multiple projects (like me, lol).  One idea that I thought was good that didn't get implemented on .org, was the owner of the board should be able to choose if they want their forum visible to the public or not.  Visible, but not able to post without a password or something of the like.

Visibal as is on the main index? I hope not. Maybe open to view via direct link

I think it's a good idea, especially when people dont have the time and money to maintain their own site.
Owning a subforum would be an excellent alternative!

I could even pay for it someday~ :P

it will and would always be free :)

Roph is awesome and never charges for anything. Of course, it also puts him in debt and my thankless nature can never find money to donate, but his altruism needs no reward :P (NB: This is just a lie I tell myself)
