Testament or Megadeth. It's a tough choice cuz im a bassist i like to hear alot of good lines in there and they both seem to fit that for me. Although Cliff Burton was a god im over the whole metallica stage everyone goes through that  :P

Progessive like Dream Theater and Symphony X. Uhhh I like Melodic Death too like Arch Enemy and Children of Bodom.

Anyways Bathory is also a good viking metal band.  You should check them out if you haven't already, Bio.

Also, I love Heartwork.  I'm assuming you're referring to the album by Carcass.
