Title: 28 Weeks Later (Spoiler Warning)
Post by: The.Muffin.King on July 21, 2007, 06:06:34 AM
Like i promised, i.m going tell you guys about 28 weeks later. I watched it a good couple weeks ago, but i remember it well. It woulda been here sooner if my PC didn't
crash....And then i waited for word so i'd have some sort of half-assed spell check..But word still isn't here and i'm not gonna wait any longer.

So what did i think of this movie? PHENONMINAL! This movie was soo good i almost shit myself. After about ten minutes of this, i knew it was going to be a fun ride. Instead of the movie starting out with a naked faggot, it starts with a family happily having dinner, without maggots! Yum Yum, and even though they are eating you still get this vibe like oh shit something bad is gonna happen, but you keep watching anyway. Then some dumbass little kid runs up to the front of the house and starts going HELP ME HELP ME IM A STUPID BITCH! YOU GUYZ R COMMIN WITH ME! ZOMBIES COME HERE IM OVER HERE BREAKING INTO THIS HOUSE WITH PEOPLE! At this point it renewed my anger for little kids in movies because well, they're really fucking stupid.

So at this point the action starts and it shows angry people-err zombies, i don't know what to call them, lets just stick with infected- and there was more of them here then in the whole first one, i swear on my life. By this point i was happy to see something attacking something else, and i realised there was actually plot in this movie, with the father ditching his wife and all.

It then shows some time-line of the calamity, hense 28 weeks later, and the time-line ends phasing out showing some kids on a train and their father, (the man who ditched his wife) waiting for them in the station for a colony which as been secured as an infected free area.

The next important part of the film is when the kids leave to get a picture of their dear old mummy, and of course the kids do the next stupid thing. They get caught leaving the secured area and get followed by some guys in super gear. They get to their house and to their suprise they actually find their mom.
It was fairly confusing. It then phases back to a clinic where they test to see if your infected and what the mom is a civilized infected CHOMG PLOT-TWIST!

Now for those of you who don't remember how the aids err the anger thing spreads it spreads through blood transfusion, yah know the normal way zombies spread, cept they also spread through spit. Back to the topic at hand, the dad kisses the mom and gets infected and rips her to peices. This was my first problem with the movie. The infected don't usually attack infected because they're
infected right? WRONG. This part of the movie totally fucks up this logic by making the dad rip apart the mom. (Then everyone gets infected because
the dad is a prick)

Now the second part of the movie that is really fucked up is the whole CHOMG INFECTED, because at the end of the first one, weren't they all fucking starving to death? SO how did the mom survive, did she eat pizza? There was no way she'd be alive still, unless she had first-aid spray.

My third and final problem with this movie was this part where a group of civiilians is running from the infected and they hide in a car from DEATH GAS! Now this part just fucking completed aludes me. They hide in a car from gas, and as they
hide the go all QUICK ROLL UP THE WINDOES THAT'll SAVE US!  And the
worst part is...it actually does, and the gas doesn't get in the car. WTF right?

It feels like i've been going on forever about this movie so i'll stop there and give my final conclusion. Basically on a scale from one to ten on this movie in comparison to the first one i'd say this is OVER NINE THOUSAND! Its goarier, better acting, and it has zombies in the zombie movie. Its around as good as Dawn
of the Dead.

I might write another review but until then i say good-bye. Ciao.

She was infected, but in a different way then the others.

He ripped her apart, because when he looked at her, he thought of how he had left her for dead... so he makes her unrecognizable so he doesn't have to think of that anymore.

The Rage virus was made... so they could come up with a cure for rage (happy pills).

Its around as good as Dawn of the Dead.

Which was a terrible film.  I do like the '28' movies, though.  The first one was a bit better, I think.

If you meant the remake, I'll half-heartedly agree. But the original was frucking awesome.

I have half a mind to track you down and break all your fingers, then steal your credit card and buy numerous copies of all the Resi games, then, I would drive your car into the opening for the next resi movie.  Resident Evil movies are the shittiest game to movies ever.
