Title: Taking Tutorial Requests!
Post by: Musashi on November 07, 2005, 04:47:13 AM
Yup! Thats right, I'm that dude who poped out of nowhere! and I'm taking tutorial requests! Woot!
Some Rules:
1. Please use this Template:
TYPE: (What kind of tut do you want? an ABS, Special Item Thingy, ect?)
Features:(What do you want the tut to include about the Event I'm gonna make?)
Other: (Put somthing else here to explain it better.)
2. I am making tuts for Rm2k/3 Only! So don't say you 'need' an XP Script Tutorial or something!
3.Speaking of 'need', IF you say 'need' a event/system/thingy I will not take it. You don't 'need' a bunch of RM2k/3 Commands!
4. If I don't accept a request, all your whining isn't gonna make me make it! And, I can only make tuts I know the code of already becuase my Rm2k/3 Rtp Is screwed up right now, for more info on more problem please look at this thread: http://www.crankeye.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3764
Title: Level 99 Break

That should say it all. I want to break the level 99 system in RMXP. Let me know if you can do it!

ammom, you need some scripting work for it, not events and clearly musa doesn't do scripts.

musa- xp and 2k/3 are the same with diffrent buttons so tuts are global no matter what, it's just a matter of finding the buttons...

ok now i am bored and  i want (cus i don't need) an abs with actually smart enemies, i want them to be able to shoot X amount of cells, i want the player to shoot from changing range , i want it's equips to change it while he is equipping it and change back upon unequiping , needless to say i want his equips to set his defense and attack, i want both the player and the monsters to be able to use "area" effects and hit less and less damage depending on how far their target is from the center.
i don't want them to be able to shoot at each other if there is a mountain or a rock or even a sign between them
i want every dead enemy to return to a random spot of the map around 5 sec after being killed

that's bout it, quite simple if you actually know your way around abs as you claim you do, good luck, don't forget you said tutorial so i xpect to see tons of screenies

You know, blue, that was a lot to ask for. That might take over 2 months to do.

it's possible actually, and it takes only 3-4 days if you wanna make it really good(and then 2 weeks to put it as a tutorial lolz), what's really annoying is to make 10-20 enemies or even worse... and making the enemies jump if they are blocked by any tile, and so on

but to tell you the truth it's hard and annoying work,  i wouldn't do it for any1 else if i made it i wouldn't share it around too easily and it would probably go in my game cus making abs is outstandingly annoying

but hey i am not the 1 who said he will make tuts for stuff like abs ;)

Or, you could just install this (http://www.rmxp.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=6490&hl=action+battle) script, and save a hell load of time :/

Oooo, and if you can make one, why requests a tutorial?
 :O_o:

i can make one and i am actually making one.. omg there is a script...
i was working on it for 3 days god...
lol
ok i am stupid sorta...

and i am requesting a tut cus he said he will make abs if some1 requests so i don't see why not requesting...
i didn't realize there was a script -.-

lolz searching for scripts would have saved me a large period of time ...
bah >>

edit: bah his demo doesn't work and that horrible site is far too laggy for me to look around the entire topic looking for what am i doing wrong
i'll just keep doing mine cus it seems it will be easier editing it later (and beside actually making it sort of feels nicer and all)

I bet you won't finish by the end of the year. But keep trying anyway.

just to let you know i already got a cow that shoots flaming rockets and burning down evil black chickens
and the chickens are capable of backfiring
it considers range of all enemies and the player and both sides got heavy delay after the usage of a weapon (enemies got heavier delay)

i am atm working on defense/attack damage basing and randomizing the numbers, then i will need like 1k animations of numbers which show the damage dealt to the enemy or to you, then i need to revive them after a certain amount of time at a diffrent location Xx
and the worse thing is the unpassable tiles, got some ideas but who knows...

well on the bright side the "Basic" which is the simple attacks without considering anything works perfectly Xx

oh and the end of the year is quite close so i doubt ill finish it by then but i suppose i can give it a go
