Title: xjen0vax - Expecting a warm welcome (or else)
Post by: xjen0vax on December 09, 2006, 03:05:25 AM
Hello there. I'm not much for introductions, so I'll just leave you guys to welcoming me.

PS: I'll give an internet high-five to the first person who explains my display name (not that it's exactly a difficult feat).

I've figured out your name, after a long thought process. It breaks up into 3 different parts: xjen, 0, and vax. the xjen has a double meaning; its first is to show support for the coolest generation ever, Generation X, and the second is to name your current girlfriend, Jen. These two could combine to say that the best love is found in Generation X. For the second part, the 0, you allude to it as if it is a cipher, a nothing. You support nihilism in this sense. On your last part, vax, you mention your pride and joy, a new Oreck vacuum cleaner: also made in Generation X. Therefore, your name says "I am a nihilistic lover of Generation X vacuum cleaners." Now where's that high five of mine?

What a shame that you didn't, because you would have been right. ;)

xjen0vax - Jenova (FFVII), except I changed the "o" to a "0", and decapatalized the "J". Now jen0va. Then I just added some emo x's at the beginning and end because "jen0va" is taken on just about every forum/email service in existance.

Interesting analysis though, Zypher. ;D

A warm welcome you say? Would long do?

I am someone who posts humongous welcome posts. To start off with things, you'd be wise to read this, so you don't get in trouble for doing something you had no idea about.

Also a thing to be aware of. It had dimmed down lately, but you'd be best prepared for everything. Don't be offended if a number of people flame you, it basically means nothing. Why they're allowed to is beyond my understanding.

Don't be offended by fumanchuu and others not being afraid to hide their sexuality, they just like a place to say it seemingly. Use the search button to find answers to questions that you might have. Who knows, it Might have been asked already. That helps avoid people from flaming you or dumbing you down.

Follow the rules..and don't join the flaming crew. If people say something, that relates to an incident that might HAVE happened in the past on this forum, you might be like "what are they talking about." Suggest you get briefed about "Important stuff" so as you don't repeat something people hate.

Now, a recent issue that has come up is that if you happen to get into a fight with another member, try to not let it get too out of hand. (Ya, it's the internet, but you wouldn't believe all those that have had this problem).

What a long post. Welcome to the forums, follow that, and no one should bother you. Except those that have nothing better to do then that, but just ignore them.

You'll have great time here!

In other words, the basics of any forum. I'm no n00b, I'm on about 12 other forums (nerd, I know), so most of that post was pointless (hope you don't mind having wasted your time).

Aside from that, I tend to argue with people who attack/flame me, but they're just little arguments that don't last much longer than a day or two (see; my argument with arlen in the logo contest thread).

Thanks for the welcome. ^-^
