Post by: RayneValentine on November 27, 2006, 01:30:08 AM
I used the gamedisk icon and made a game and posted it on the web but...Well everyone who wants to play it needs rpg maker 2000. It always says they need it! How to I give them my game but make it so they don't have to download the rpg maker 2000?

They need the RTP, else you should include all resources you used in the game and delete RTP entries.

Hey, I wanted to know the same thing.
I didn't really understand what you meant.
I'm pretty new to rpg maker, so could you please explain what to do in a little more detail?

Use the search button to find out what RTP is. Also RTP is the same thing in RM2k, RM2k3 and RMXP, so you can also look at the RMXP FAQ what RTP is. Again, use the search button.

why not just make the game folder into a zip and use a file uploading program?

The RTP is the thing a computer needs to play RPG Maker games. I think it comes with RPG Maker, well you can install it at the same time, well at least I could with XP. If people don't have it, they don't have RPG Maker, or they've got rid of it, so include it in the folder you upload.
