Title: FantasySword RPG II - Can you spare just £1/about $2??
Post by: Demon X on November 24, 2006, 04:25:13 AM
I spent ages making this game, so I have decided to get a lil bit of cash out of it. £1/about $2 isn't much...

FantasySword RPG II is about four brothers who are reduced to only three due to one of them eating a corrupted power seed...

What happens then is up to you!

It isn't worth the money.

EDIT:

You didn't even give an introduction to the story, and the demon guy's intro was really strange. The mapping wasn't very good either.

from reading the comments, its obvious this game wouldn't be worth selling, how about some screens so players can look before they buy?

Ummm...no...no sell. Because obviously no one is gonna wanna buy it for all the crap you've put into it. Work on your maps, add a story, get better face sets, make sure you don't gotta buy it to play, and you'll be just fine ^.^

My serious review:

The town is very quaint. The outside buildings are tiny and very Final Fantasy Legendish. However the interiors are absolutely huge the size of a full screen. There were a lot of details done to the town, but nothing else.

I was a little confused as to what the story was. Originally I believed it to be about finding the golden chicken. Instead it is about three brothers... I am not exactly clear on what they are trying to do. However the three meet a purified demon then go into a laberenth of a dungeon.

The dungeon is a maze because it was done via the RPG2K3 randomizer. I felt that it took LUCK for me to find the key to the boss. Then when I got to the door of the boss, that is when the boss or the guardian attacked me... before I was even in the door.

The enemies MUST be diversified. They don't need to be diversified they MUST! The enemies are very one dimensional and unbalanced. You are paid 315 GP for killing 3 scorpions on your way to the maze cave. However in the cave you are fighting single bat after single bat for 15 GP. The bat stands no chance against 4 people, it makes the battles annoying when there should be something interesting happening.

The boss or guardian I could not damage with anything but an axe. You may want to have the purified demon warn the three brothers that they will need better weapons before they take on the boss of the first dungeon.
