Title: Rules for Posting a Resource Request
Post by: Lord Dante on November 20, 2006, 03:14:11 AM
I looked for a sticky for this, but I couldn't find one.

Anyways, because Projects has one, I think the Resource section needs one just as much. That, being a Rules for Posting a request. There are known rules by older members, and yet, alot of people STILL dont follow them. Of course, this is just going to be here for convienance, as the clarity it offers will help people be less annoyed with you and let them know spefics of your request so they can get it done faster.

Firstly, A few words.

1. Hopefully you shouldn't even be requesting. See if you can first do your request yourself

2. IF you cant, search google or other boards, and see THIS (http://rmrk.net/index.php?topic=131.0) topic.

3. If that fails, use the search button

4. If ALL THAT fails, or youre just lazy...Continue reading...

Character Set Requests-

-Version
Tell us which maker you want it for.

-Size
We need to know the size of it, if its in RMXP (rtp, small, large, etc.).

-Detailed Description
Please give a detailed description of your requested character, and should include hairstyle, haircolor, girth, height, clothing, armor, era (clothing style), skin shade, eye color, and possible weapons, to ensure that you get what you want.

Battler Requests-
[note]-Almost the same as a character request

Version-
Again, tell us what maker you want it for.

rm2k3 battlers

This request, while easily doable YOURSELF at charas.net, requires a high level of description. If you already described the corresponding character, however, it'll make the creator's life alot easier. Like a charset request, give us physical traits as well as apparell details. Also, for battlers you need to tell us if you want custom animations or not, and if you do you need to detail what they are. If you do this, however, theres a slimmer chance of it getting done...

RMXP Battlers

If you can't find a picture or refuse to use that one thing that one guy posted to make an RMXP battler, then you can always request one. Just like comissioning anything else, you need to give us a description if it, a pose, and a facial expression if needed.

Titles and Game Overs

For both of these, as they are pictures, you either need to give us a reference picture or you need to give us a description of what you need.
Take Jimmy for example.

Jimmy wanted a title that had a man riding a dragon. He asked his board members to make it, got a fat guy on a freakin iguana, and whined like a little bitch.

DONT LET THIS BE YOU.

Tell us what you want, and it doesnt have to be exact, but it needs to give the maker a good enough idea as to what you want exactly. Dont forget to say what title you want, or in the case of game over, what text you want (haha, dumbass, you died...etc.).

Title Request example- I want a graveyard filled with fog, with a large tombstone in the foreground with the text "legend of the cursed femur" on the front in Old-English styled font.

...

I think thats it. If there's anything else people request wrongly, tell me and I'll put it in here.

You forgot what to include in a tile set request. Hurry add it before someone makes a mistake...namely me.
