Title: Gosh darn it all!
Post by: Oni Link on October 26, 2006, 01:08:37 AM
Yet another n00bish question from your friendly neighborhood Purple People Eater...No wait, never mind, it's just me.

I've searched the forums (and I know for a fact this is probably somewhere), but I cannot find how to make a simple event that enables you to change your main character's name! (Or any other character's name, but I'm more or less worried about the hero at the moment.) It would be cool if you can name your own character, ya know? Anywho, if anyone could shoot me the link, I'd mucho appreciate it. If not, oh wells.

Thanks in advance,

Off to slay Ganon AGAIN,
Oni Link.

make a new event, that when activated does "Name Input Processing", located in the third tab.

Ye both r0xx0rz!

Of course however, with me, solutions only lead to more problems.

IE: I try typing in /n[1] in my messages so it shows the current hero's name, but it shows up in the message box as just that, /n[1], not the name. Any solutions? BTW: I use RPGM XP

Thanks all!

Not /n[1], but \n[1], you can use it for the names of other heroes as well like \n[3] and the message window will print out the name of the hero with ID number 3 in the database.
