Title: Man, I'm horrible...
Post by: Oni Link on October 22, 2006, 06:42:12 PM
Ok, ANOTHER question...

(Sorry all! I'm a n00b when it comes to RPGM and I'm just barely learning.)

Is there a way in which you can have a character attack twice? Say the main hero "dual-weilds" and he just uses a basic attack. Is there a way in which he can hit the enemy twice?

Well, I know you can in 2003, and porbably in 2000 . But in XP I don't know how without a script os some kind. Try the translated help file.

QuoteCreate a common event
Set It To AutoStart

Create a conditional branch to check to see if the item that makes the character attack twice is equipped.
Under met condition, force action immediately, "Attack Previous Target"
Create the action, "End Event Processing"

Repeat red for each item that you want to make the character attack twice.
The names may be a little off so you may have to search a bit so simply experiment along those guidelines and you will get it.

Thanks! You r0xx0rz!

EDIT: Actually...you still r0xx0rz, but I can't figure out what to put for the Trigger Switch when I have it on Auto Start.

Any. Just make sure you turn it on at the start of the game.

Ok, I have it on force action and the Trigger Switch is Scythe.

However, in the beginning of the game, when I have a Paralel Process to turn it on, it freezes the game. I've tried putting the 2x attack on Paralel Process, but that just only made him attack once.
