Title: Error with Facepics [Resolved]
Post by: Ranzer on October 14, 2006, 12:53:31 AM
Hi. I'm using RPG Maker 2000 and I can't seem to switch facepics in the database. Whenever I try to, an error pops up reading "Illegal Stream Error". I use the extended Runtime Package.

Do you have the original runtime package as well as the original RM2k files?

If you don't, then go to THIS PAGE (http://crankeye.com/index.php?page=downloads), which is actually the mainsite of this forum, and download the three last files under the Main Programs category. I hope this helps you.

Ah. Okay, I'll try that.
It's just odd, since it worked before. Maybe one of the files got corrupted.

EDIT:
Okay, I reinstalled both RTPs and it still give me an "Illegal Stream Format" error. What else can I do?

Try to see if it works on a new game. If it does, then you'll have to move all your maps, etc to the new game...

Well, after fumbling in the files for a while and importing stuff, I finally got it to work. Thanks. Any idea on how it happened and how I could avoid it?

EDIT: And just like magic, it also brought back the battle animations and such that I was missing. Weird, but I'm not complaining!

This used to happen to me too, the installer sometime screws up with the files, and doesn't unzip them all...
