Title: A little font problem.
Post by: helipluis on September 23, 2006, 12:28:39 PM
First off, hi all! Haven't been on here (or used RPG maker) since the forum crashed.  :-[
Good thing it's back again, cause I started using rpg maker once again.
And oh well, already got my first problem which happens quite often.
I had this problem before before the forum crashed, and I knew how to fix it than, but now I'm on the rookie level of RPG making again so I need to get the hang of it a bit again ;)

Once I encounter a enemy, and it hits me (or the other way around) I do see that I take damage, but I aint seeing how much HP I lost. (-60 for example)

I do remember that I have to reset my fonts somehow right? Well, I can't remember exactly anymore.
Please help, thanks!

By the way, sorry if this has been posted before I couldn't find a thing with the search button  ::)

I dont think they show the hits in 2k3 or 2k

and for the font, -

Go to

wwf..
i mean www.crankeye.com]
See the Rpg maker download thing, in the column to the left.
Scroll to patches,
then get the Rm2k Font patch, works in 2k3 too.
And if its xp, then i dunno..

Oh then im afraid i cant help you.
Take a backup of the game, or if you havent done much cjust leave it.
Delete the instalelr, reinstall from this site, or any site, dont just reinstall from the installer.
Try that..

I don't know about damage, but to reset your fonts, copy both of them out of the fonts folder and into the C:\Windows\Fonts folder.

Aah yes, now I remember thanks to you!
I downloaded a ZIP-file back then with some font files in it.
All I had to do was to copy those font files, and paste them in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder.

All I need now is the ZIP with those files in it  :-\
Thanks!

C:\Program Files\RPG2003 (Or whatever you called the ffolder\Fonts

They should be in there, if I'm not mistaken.

Well, I'm still waiting for someone who can tell me where to find the ZIP with the fonts in it, which I need to copy/paste over the windows/fonts directory.
After that my problem should be fixed  :-\

@Arrowone: The folder wasn't there. Must be because I'm using XP?

Sorry, I don´t know how it works in RM2k3, but I think you only need to install one of the needed fonts. Isn´t there a font file together with RM2k3?

I know, I remember you. I saw arrowone´s post and thought it was about rm2k3... >.<

You only need to reinstall the "Arial Black" font, nothing else. Just google it.
