Well I wanted to see if I could actually figure out how to move things around in the menu script and resize it and wutnot. It was actually so easy... It took me like 5 mins to make this neways it looks decent and would be good in a one person game. Note this also removes the save command. You will need to make save points for the game if u use this.

Now for the script.
In Game Party look for
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
# * Add an Actor
# actor_id : actor ID
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
def add_actor(actor_id)
# Get actor
actor = $game_actors[actor_id]
# If the party has less than 4 members and this actor is not in the party
if @actors.size < 4 and not @actors.include?(actor)
# Add actor
@actors.push(actor)
# Refresh player
$game_player.refresh
end
end
and replace it with
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
# * Add an Actor
# actor_id : actor ID
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
def add_actor(actor_id)

# If the party has less than 4 members and this actor is not in the party
if @actors.size < 1 and not @actors.include?(actor)
# Add actor
@actors.push(actor)
# Refresh player
$game_player.refresh
end
end
Now in window MenuStatus replace
#==============================================================================
# ** Window_MenuStatus
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# This window displays party member status on the menu screen.
#==============================================================================
class Window_MenuStatus < Window_Selectable
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------

with this

No credit needed. If you want to that would be cool but I dont reely deserve ne for this it was to easy lol
Tsuno or someone wanna teach me how to make a new script above main that does this insteada replacin stuff? ^.^
Decided to make a save thing too. This was very easy ^_^
On a side not, this reely only fits in with a CMS without the save command... I reely don't know why anyone would have save points if they can save from the menu
Replace Scene_Save with this
#==============================================================================
# ** Scene_Save
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# This class performs save screen processing.
#==============================================================================
class Scene_Save < Scene_File
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
# * Object Initialization
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
def initialize
super("Which file would you like to save to?")
end
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
# * Decision Processing
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
def on_decision(filename)
# Play save SE
$game_system.se_play($data_system.save_se)
# Write save data
file = File.open(filename, "wb")
write_save_data(file)
file.close
# If called from event
if $game_temp.save_calling
# Clear save call flag
$game_temp.save_calling = false
# Switch to map screen
$scene = Scene_Map.new
return
end
# Switch to menu screen
$scene = Scene_Map.new
end
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
# * Cancel Processing
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
def on_cancel
# Play cancel SE
$game_system.se_play($data_system.cancel_se)
# If called from event
if $game_temp.save_calling
# Clear save call flag
$game_temp.save_calling = false
# Switch to map screen
$scene = Scene_Map.new
return
end
# Switch to menu screen
$scene = Scene_map.new
end
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
# * Write Save Data
# file : write file object (opened)
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
def write_save_data(file)
# Make character data for drawing save file
characters = []
for i in 0...$game_party.actors.size
actor = $game_party.actors[i]
characters.push([actor.character_name, actor.character_hue])
end
# Write character data for drawing save file
Marshal.dump(characters, file)
# Wrire frame count for measuring play time
Marshal.dump(Graphics.frame_count, file)
# Increase save count by 1
$game_system.save_count += 1
# Save magic number
# (A random value will be written each time saving with editor)
$game_system.magic_number = $data_system.magic_number
# Write each type of game object
Marshal.dump($game_system, file)
Marshal.dump($game_switches, file)
Marshal.dump($game_variables, file)
Marshal.dump($game_self_switches, file)
Marshal.dump($game_screen, file)

end
end
Now whenever you want to save just have an event and have it show some choises... They can be w.e u want but for example, heal, save, or cancel. When heal change entire party HP + 300 or w.e. When save Script
$scene = Scene_Save.new
Basicly what I just said meens u call the save window with $scene = Scene_Save.new
This is awsome, tyvm!
If you want lessons, then look at other peoples CMS's and tinker around with it to learn how they did things. I can PM you a few links with CMS's I've done if you'd like. Also, instead of replacing the original scripts, you could insert those into a fresh script and make it look like this. The reason that script below produces the same result is because if you declare two methods with the same name inside the same class, the one that is read later will over-ride anything done the first time the method was declared. I.E. If you declare a method with the name "do_something" in a class twice, the second time you declared "do_something" will be the result you will get whenever you invoke the method "do_something". Classes work somewhat different though. When you declare the same class name in two seperate scripts, it simply adds on to the existing class. A prime example of this is Scene_Battle1-3 in the generic scripts. However, your Scene_Menu part in a new script would do something different. Since you used the same method names as the ones in the original menu, you overwrote everything in the generic menu, bringing me back to the explantion I made a few sentences ago on methods with the same name in the same class. I.E. class Scene_Menu is the original menu but when you declared Scene_Menu again and used methods with the same name, it overwrote the original menu while leaving the actual original menu intact, should you ever want to use a different menu.
The code below is your CMS put together in a form that allows someone to simply make a new script above main and paste that inside it without having to modify anything. Sorry for the long winded post and explanations but I felt an explanation was in order for you to understand why its better to do a CMS like this. If someone needs a save command added, it'd be simple to re-add. I'm an experianced CMS maker so if you have questions, PM me or look for me on MSN(Shinami576@hotmail.com) and I'll answer what questions I can.

oh ok thx ^-^ I'll make another one today.. When I get home from school that is but this time Ill make it with a new script instead of editing.
i like this menu system..but i am having a problem with it...where it shows your characters sprite it doesn't show the stats beside it
here is what i mean...
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg150.imageshack.us%2Fimg150%2F5041%2Fmenusystemdj5.th.png&hash=25f9bd27398b8654625ab6c3cb3b5cbdfc4a3203) (http://img150.imageshack.us/my.php?image=menusystemdj5.png)
nice script man
are u using the illegal RMXP? it works on the legal one.
Try making a script above this one consisting of the following:
Font.default_name = "Tahoma"
What part of the script make it so you can still see the person on the map? (like in pokemon)
in the main method add
@spriteset = Spriteset_Map.new
at the end of the main method add
@spriteset.dispose
Then at the beginning of the update method add
@spriteset.update
ok thanks... it worked :)
late reply but np =P
