Of course there was danger signs like it being in Intelligent Debate (wtf is it doing there?)
Another being 'Why is girls...' instead of 'Why girls is...'
I was disappointed. Just an exclamation that the debate has started.
What debate? A debate about a question?
One can easily derive from your question the assumption that girls are more important than boys.
Your question indicates that assumption is not what should be debated. Is it then reasons that fulfill the assumption that should be discussed?
Or is it actually the assumption that should be debated? It is most certainly flame inciting.
I guess that a lot of people would something negative followed by a 'boy equals girl'. Some would perhaps agree with the assumption and actually give a reason, some would disagree and give a reason why it is not so.
What I doubt is that there would really come anything particular intelligent out from this.
It might be entertaining, but I really think this belongs in spam.
I could figure FuMannChu saying something like: 'They have boobs'

My stance: I don't really care. People are people. Yeah, sure, we expect certain things of girls and certain things of boys, but whatever, I don't see one as less or more than the other.

And the process of child birth isn't equal either. All we partake in is the act of sexual intercourse, which is pretty damn enjoyable, and then the woman alone suffers for 9 months with actually birthing the child.
But this thread isn't about equality and treatment, it's about importance.
And I maintain that neither one of us is more important than the other, simply because of our gender. Social status, yes, of course, but not gender alone.

Girls aren't more important than boys. However, girls are generally treated better than boys because boys are boys. Girls experience more emotion than men do, and so we treat them more with respect so that said emotions aren't constantly released. I guess. I don't even know why I'm posting here. Boredom, I guess.

Nightwolf, I think some guys can be pretty emotional too. It just might take more for them to show it, that's all. And a lot of people think if males show emotion that they're 'weak' somehow, that isn't always the case though.

This is very true. However, in countries where females supposedly have "equal" rights, they ussually don't. There are still problems with sexual harassment, sexism, and, at least in America, females often get payed less than males. I did read the whole 'damn' thing, I just didn't feel like typing out everything. And my first reply was more to poke fun than be serious...but alright...
So women would have sperm banks if all the men were dead (why are just the men dead?), and the women would have more babies (using the sperm from the sperm bank!). That's great...but what if the sperm banks run out of sperm (or what if not enough females decide to go to the sperm bank and pop out babies [omg, not enough babies!])?
OMG OH NOES. That's right, no more babies. And of course, I'm hoping you already know that males can't produce sperm from birth...so you'd have to wait until the first set of babies 'grow up' before you can get more sperm...and I hope you get where this is going.

Just my outlook at the the people at my school, which is around 1,600+ people. I think that's a number substantial for a survey.
School life is very different from the rest of life. In school, a lot of people don't know who they are or what they want to be yet, and end up emulating the looks and attributes of famous figures, and sometimes eachother. Look outside of school grounds if you want better info.
Ahh, but sadly if you think that bad about them then must be optimistic on the future of which they hold for us. Though ya, I could people outside of school but heck some of them are so odd that I don't even want to concern myself with them.

I think it is because our world is so beauty oriented. Women buy beauty products, women tend to be more beautiful than men. It is easier for a woman to oggle another woman than it is for a man to oggle another man, so its like more is poured into the importance of women.

That is funny and true! I am a small time actor, I did a commercial for Budwieser, where all of the male extras were oggling one single woman. One even bet me in a year we would not be at the very same place celebrating his engagement to this woman. I took that bet :-)
Who was she? She was not one of the four paid models, she was the assistant director who had her implanted cleavage hanging out all night. They were not even big, but everyone wanted her. Oye.

Well she was very hot, but she was extremely pushy, but I guess you have to be to have a job like that. Two of the male models I was chatting with for like 3 hours wanted to see who could get her number first... as it turns out, I guess the owner of the restaurant scored a date with her. Afterward the male models and two others went to a different bar where one of the male models said... I'm telling you this before we get there, my girlfriend is going to be there, nobody mention the director! Oye
