So do you have any irrational or completely rational fears?
I have a sort of fear of heights. At least, I think. I've been way up high places before and not really been irked. But I definitely don't do the whole roller-coaster thing.
I'll approach spiders / bugs and dispose of them or squish them. Flying bugs outside are more annoying than scary.
Generally, I don't really fear much, besides a huge pot of boiling water.
I have a strong fear of needles. I hate them and flich every time I see one.
I also have a slight fear of silence. I can't stand hearing absolutely nothing. It feels creepy.
Personally I hate insects (including spiders). Wuah! They are just... creepy... This is a consequence of a child trauma thing.
I also can
I have a fear of the following:
Spiders, Heights, Closed Spaces, Crowds of people
I think clowns are freaky.
 ~ You don't have to worry much. Shaft is gonna mow down those clown suckas!
M_o_T: Yeah! Go Shaft! Take down those clowns!!!
 Shaft: Shut up! You're spamming!
M_o_T: Yes sir...
"there is nothing to fear but fear itself."
i fear the stupid mobs who think it's true...
i seem to fear bees blood sucking bugs that fly at you and suck it all in and blood sucking needles aka everything that could damage me in any way even temp damage
and i fear the day in which the mobs will stop being so stupid cause then they might actually be smart 8-)
I think i got this phobia that when im hurt by anything say metal, i keep thinking i got tetanus and am gonna die, when i feel dizzy its brain tumer..
But i got over that...
I got this thing that sometimes i think something or someone is watching me, unknowingly...LOL!
But i get over those things..
Shaft: : Hehe, Nightwolfs A Scaredy Cat..he'll kill me for this..!
Thats that..and yeah i hate ppl talking on top of their voice like hell sometimes

i hate ppl talking on top of their voice like hell sometimes
You mean yelling?! I hate that, too. That
I tell you what I fear =>
Spiders \//\ Needles /\\/ Doing something stupid in front of a girl I like
As far as the needles go, I just ask the doctor if it hurts as much as a tetnis shot, and if they say no, then I'm cool with it.
 "Can you dig it?"
What do I fear? Not mich, really.
If I'm alone or something I might freak out seeing a wolf spider. They ARE HUGE afterall. (only seen 2 in my life)
I'm not really "scared" or roller coasters or anything, but I'm one of those guys who just doesn't prefer them.
I definately do NOT fear people who hate and taunt me, because I usually pwn them someway unless theyre five different people and I'm one where anything I say is instantly something "stupid & funny".
But in any case, thats why I talk to friends
So yeah, I am kinda scared of a few things, but nothing major.
Scared of scary movies, thats probably the worst actually.
So chyah, theres me.
when pepole yell i start flinching the i get sudden chills drives me mad.
(yelling makes me flinch)
I don't like spiders, but my phobia has lessened to the degree that I can now look away and smash them with my shoe.
Silence scares me incredulously. Also on roller coasters it makes me so dizzy that it freaks me out, nothing to vomit over though. I do fear them, took me a year to get used to a 15 foot high indoor small roller coaster.
At 3 AM I'm scared to go into my basement to grab a soda (this only takes 4 seconds ussually) and the lights are always on. I think that's called paranoia XD. I'm not afraid of the dark in the slightest, UNLESS there is an unknown noise. It was once pitch black and I heard this dog nearby me (I'm a dog hater, sue me) and it freaked the shiz outta me. Probably cause I didn't know what it was but ehhh.
Printers... sometimes mine works, so I'm always on edge.
I am clostrophobic. (I think thats how it is spelt)
It means a fear of being in a very small space! (crowds, a tiny room, trapped in a cave etc.)
Dont you think this passes as Intelligant depate material? Or am I just being a retard again?

Same here, except it just creeps me out.
I'm afraid of large spiders (small ones do not scare me), needles & anything stabbity (but I am comfortable around swords... hm...), and I feel claustrophobic very easily. I get claustrophobic wearing tight-fitting clothes. They freak me out. Churches are pretty scary, and antique shops. Oh, and mannequins! omg. I hate them. But my most unusual fear: telephones. They're just so frightening to me. I know there's no reason to be afraid of telephones, but I can't help myself. I dread every time the phone rings.
Oh! And skulltulas, in the N64 Zelda games. THEY are the most freakin' scary things I've ever seen in my entire life. I'm not even remotely joking.

I fear mirrors....Ever since i saw that one movi i forgot what it was called i never looked at the mirror again.Ide always be scared instead of my face itd show a dead baby or something like that.
Other than clowns. I fear that The FCC will one day try to shut down my show. I'm too cutting edge for The FCC, and it's only a matter of time before Cthulu Jokes, prank calls to Liza Minelli and awesome Heavy Metal music gets on The Fcc's sh*t list.
But when It happens I'm not going to P*ssy out like Howard Stern and go to run to something so back water and amatuer as satelite radio, begging for them to save me.

Skeletons that paralyze you and hump you to death = scary.
Hands that come out of nowhere and squish you = not scary in comparison. o_O
Going to sleep's what scares me. I'm always afraid something horrible might happen or that I'd wake up dead. It's mostly because of that one time when my little brother (being a 5 year old who didn't know any better at the time) tried to "wake" me up by smothering me with a pillow...that and my big brother tends to strangle me in my sleep everytime I piss him off... (oh I just LOVE my siblings, lemme tell ya <_<)
U cant wake up dead XD!
When I go to sleep the only thing I have to fear, in fact the only things ANYONE has to fear. Are burglars, hitmen, fires, arsonists, and any natural disaster, (earthquake, hurrican etc.)
Woah hay Maestress Xina =0

Yes o_o. I once got out of my bed after that and walked into the new air conditioner my dad had taken appart half my room to build and moved my bed. I thought I was going out the place in which there should be a door but isn't =/

I'm seriously the only person afraid of telephones?
I know, I give to my mother.
I fear somethings like: heights, bugs ( if they touch me without me knowing) spiders, the dark (when Im alone and there a weird noises and my sister sneaks up on me) silence is freaky (so at night i sleep with my radio on :-) )
Rollercoasters are alright unless they go upside down and really really close to the ground the only film i got scared of was the ring (lol only saw the advert )
alien vs predator was cool, I don't like playing near my street (we have a gang of gangsters and chavs that hang around, they set fire to a dog... :-o)
I love rollercoasters. Only one I won't go on is Oblivion at Alton Towers. (the whole dropping vertically, face down thing...not for me....)
I'm scared of Wasps. I've been stung twice when I was 5 or 6. Now my heart starts racing when I'm near 'em.
Looking in a mirror at night. I keep thinking somethings going to look back at me that isn't me. A ghost or something. I'm scared of them as well.
Corpses. I can't look at dead people.

Reminds me of that one story I heard at school where the kid taped a cat to the roof for a few days and then placed it in the middle of the road and had his older brother drive over it with his big truck.
But for some reason setting fire to a dog sounds a lot worse than that.

Ye I don't like Oblivion either, but corkscrew is cool. And I don't like wasps or bees (wasp stung my arm about 3 times) and a bees stinger got stuck in my hand  (this was ages ago, but I still don't like em )
When I went, I wanted to go on Rita Queen of Speed but the queue was too big. Air's wicked and so is Nemesis...
Back on topic: I have a phobia of Darkness. Not the dark but like what's in it. Secrets of man-kind. Stuff that's been hidden away. I heard Homophobia is illegal. Is that true? (fear of homosexuals)
I'm afraid of (probably) one thing. My Mother. Sweet in the eye, but when you get close, boy does she bite! What a boring template!
Im afraid of death and what happens after.
But most other things are fine. If i see a spider or summit I wont be scared I just dont wanna touch it.
no one knows wats after death
Anyways u shouldnt be worried ur immortal!

I worry that I will die without a clean slate. Sure, I've messed up before, but I always pray for forgiveness, and apologize to those affected.

I totally replyed to this saying that I am also terrified of telephones.
Also, I'm not scared of death. I won't miss life when I'm dead, so what is there to worry about?
Im fucking scared of mirrors.
Like, that, something will come out and kill me, or something will look back.
Dark, closed spaces, and Heights.
I dont have the phobia for dark and heights or mirrors.
But im so claustraphobic that I throw up in MRI's
Oh and clowns to.
So if I was taking a piss in the dark with the door closed, and I saw a clown in the mirror. Id shit myself
I am afraid of heights, to an extent.
For example, I can be in a one hundred story building at the top floor, and I'll be just fine so long as I don't stand next to the window. (Because I do not trust the stability of the wall holding the window.)
Or, I can be on the second floor of the mall, but I won't stand next to the rail. (Afraid I'll get pushed over.)
I would be fine in a jet, because I would be (for the most part) in total control. Plus I could eject, and I would have a parachute.
...I guess I'm not really afraid of heights, just free-fall.
I'm SEMI afraid of the dark, but that's because I have poor eyesight and a very active imagination. So if it's dark, and I'm not wearing glasses, I see some crazy shit. One time, the shadow on the corner of my ceiling and my leftmost wall, I saw an enormous tarantula, and another one (shadow of my knee on the same wall) seemed like it was staring at me.
And I'm totally claustrophobic, just not so much as sword.
Why dont I shove you in a 6 ft long hole with 6 inches to the roof and have 3 tons of metal around you that bangs and shakes like a virgin being deflowered.
I've done that before. I used to have Tourrettes' Syndrome, they had to scan my brain. I couldn't move for two hours, because they fucked it up the first time.
How does some one 'used' to have tourettes?
I had it, took part in a medical study for a medicine called Topamax, and was cured of it. I either outgrew it (totally possible, fairly common) or it was the meds.
How do you guys get scared of telephones?
You mean when it rings or do you guys think its a gonna blast thingamabob?

I'll edit this post tommorrow with my views on clowns as a whole.

That explains so much
I do have
Ligyrophobia- Fear of loud, sudden noises.
Lilapsophobia- Fear of tornadoes and hurricanes.
Lockiophobia- Fear of childbirth. -Really scary to be around... >_>-
I used to have
Agliophobia- Fear of pain.
Hemophobia or Hemaphobia or Hematophobia- Fear of blood.
Potamophobia- Fear of rivers or running water.
I wish I had
Didaskaleinophobia- Fear of going to school.
Ergophobia- Fear of work.
Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- Fear of long words.
*ahem* I got rid of the three listed phobias by exposing myself to it for long periods of time. I'm working on getting rid of the noise thing, and... I think I'll always be afraid of the other two >_>...
As for the 'I wish I hads' .... those are just to bug people.
Oh my gosh, I think I seriously have ergophobia.
I totally have Ligyrophobia

Yes, sorta... but it's really only if the sounds are unexpected. Like drums, which you're aware of... but for things like thunder or something, you can't be sure when it's coming.. It really sucks having Ligyrophobia because it leaves you really nervous for anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour after the first scare.

When you're working with high school and middle school students who aren't paying attention when you're trying to teach a group of them and one of them just randomly decides to start playing (what we call "hacking") and you have to yell at them to quit and listen before they run laps till they puke, it's not always expected then, heh.

Actually, if you pay attention to the lightning strikes and have some idea how far away the storm is you can indeed anticipate when you will hear the thunder.
Indeed. I know someone with Lygrophobia, he can't even go see fireworks on the Fourth of July...

Actually, that's not a photoshopped card. It's real. Created in honor of the Great Brian Clevinger.
Anyway, I forgot to address my telephonophibia. I'm afraid of telephones because OMG ITS TALKING TO ME, but no one's there... How is that NOT scary?
Actually, I don't like nunchucks or sword-chucks.
Nunchucks are retarded, because even if you know what your doing they have a good shot of snapping back and breaking your wrist after you slam some one in the face. And sword-chucks is begging to behead yourself.
You put more though into it than a good percentage of the world's population. I think if you didn't stop to think about what was happening, you could cope. Try to distract yourself with the conversation at hand, that could work. And I am NOT being sarcastic, I'm being serious.
Wait... What?
If you are afraid of something, distract youself. Less of your brain is focused on what you fear, and in essence, you don't have the capacity to be afraid. Of course, it is very difficult to execute this little maneuver properly...I've done it once, maybe twice.
I don't think there's really any particular reason why I'm afraid of telephones. Did Gilgamesh mention his reasons? We should ask him. :P
I'm imagining it now.
Gilgamesh notices a new message in his pm inbox, so he naturally takes a look. Upon seeing that it was sent by Yossy, his thoughts begin to turn to "OMG IS SHE PROCLAIMING HER LOVE FOR ME?!" Then he reads the message and all it says is "Y R U AFRD OF TELEPHONEZZZ?!?!" and he'll go all "wtf."

Aquaphobia
Aquaphobia is a kind of specific phobia, an abnormal and persistent fear of water. It involves a level of fear that is beyond control or that may interfere with daily life. Specifically, people suffering from aquaphobia may experience anxiety even though they realize the water in an ocean, a river, a lake, a creek or even a bathtub may pose no imminent threat. They may avoid such activities as boating and swimming, or they may avoid swimming in the deep ocean despite having mastered basic swimming skills. At home, they may even be afraid to take baths or showers.
My situation is really worse. I've nearly drowned twice. Once, at age 5, I was dipped in a pool for no apparent reason at all. At age 12, someone tripped me while I was walking near the edge of the pool. Now, I can't take showers or join my friends because of my phobia. I rarely take showers, but if I do, I try to take long showers with hot water (So the temperature can feel like as if it were at room temperature). I'm afraid of looking at large bodies of water, any blue pigment that depicts the ocean, wierd and just regular sea creatures, and I'm afraid of looking at underwater pictures. [/color]
Do you have a phobia? If not, you can discuss mines, and/or anybody else's phobia.
I hate clowns. Seriously, I really hate them.
I loath tight spaces, if your stuck in a small place wiht me (like an elevator) and i know something had gone wrong, chances are i would beat you to a bloody coma to keep myself from passing out.
My Phobias...
Heightophobia (Not the real name)- Fear of heights
Aquaphobia- Fear of water
Yellowophobia- Fear of the color yellow
11ophobia- Fear of the number 11, but only when it is spelled out.
As you can see, I am completely insane. :sofa: :flash:
Well, name your phobia, if you need help, heres your phobias and their descriptions.
Coulrophobia is the fear of clowns.[1] In discussions of causes of coulrophobia, sufferers seem to agree that the most fear-inducing aspect of clowns is the heavy makeup, often accompanied by the bulbous nose and weird color of hair, that conceals the wearer's identity.
Sufferers sometimes acquire a fear of clowns after having a bad experience with one personally, or seeing a sinister portrayal of one in the media.
Claustrophobia is an anxiety disorder that involves the fear of enclosed or confined spaces. Claustrophobes may suffer from panic attacks, or fear of having a panic attack, in situations such as being in elevators, trains, boxes or aircraft.
Conversely, people who are prone to having panic attacks will often develop claustrophobia. If a panic attack occurs while they are in a confined space, then the claustrophobe fears not being able to escape the situation. Those suffering from claustrophobia might find it difficult to breathe in closed auditoriums, theatres, and elevators. Like many other disorders, claustrophobia can sometimes develop due to a traumatic incident in childhood.
Claustrophobia can be treated in similar ways to other anxiety disorders, with a range of treatments including cognitive behavior therapy and the use of anti-anxiety medication. Hypnosis is an alternative treatment for claustrophobia.
I'm scared of the dark when I'm alone. (I sleep with my TV on)
And I'm scared of the thought of Aliens! :o
heightophobia is acrophobia
Acrophobia (from Greek ?????, meaning "summit") is an extreme or irrational fear of heights. It belongs to a category of specific phobias, called space and motion discomfort that share both similar etiology and options for treatment.
Acrophobia can be dangerous, as sufferers can experience a panic attack in a high place and become too agitated to get themselves down safely. Some acrophobics also suffer from urges to throw themselves off high places, despite not being suicidal.
"Vertigo" is often used, incorrectly, to describe the fear of heights, but it is more accurately described as a spinning sensation.
being afraid of the dark is
Fear of the dark also known as Nyctophobia is common among young children who often fear that something catastrophic may happen to them in the night. In the darkness, we can't see very well, and for a young child, particularly one with a healthy imagination, this can be very frightening. A pervading sense can build that something sinister is just out of sight and arm's reach waiting for its moment to strike.
i could say i fear height but im not sure, i only fear them when im standing over the edge of a cliff, but yet i have climbed some massive steep faced rocks that if i fell i would no doubt be horridly fucked up. I also LOVE huge roller coasters.
some people with acrophobia have different cases of anxiety or fear. Yours for example is one.
xanthophobia is fear of the word yellow.
i cant find anything that pertains to the fear of 11 (i was about to spell it out, soz)
I Am Afraid of Real People!!!!
Only In Groups >_>;;
Entomophobia and Algophobia.
Even though I love blood.
I'm also afraid of pregnancy, secks, and aging.
I used to have a ton of them, but oddly enough I just stopped caring and they basically went away...
I had;
Mild excessive compulsive- mainly to do with cleanliness and things being in an even pattern,
Fear of Bugs- mainly cockroaches,
Fear of the dark and aliens,
Fear of sleep,
Fear of being alone,
Anxiety in public places with a lot of people,
I was scared of intimacy, or touching (I actually still don't like being touched by any one I'm close with, like my mother and such),
Fear of aging,
I also didn't like eating in front of strangers (still don't).
Well I don't have Ataraxia.
