I want to make a system that allows me to make an event and set the sprite is somthing like a het or a shirt, and I want the event/hat to follow the player's movement exactly so it looks like the player is wearing the hat. If the player goes up one tile then the hat will move with him at the same time & speed, the same goes for attacking animations and facing in different directions.
It could be done but i think it would always be one second behind but may i ask what this is all about? Im sort of confused =/
Zodius, My friend has done it b4. And he moved to Canada b4 i could ask him that for my own game
nick man u arent going to get a team from this forum u have a better chance of getting a team at school (thats what i did).
and if u do get a team here damn u got lucky.
Well the reason i want this system is so I can have the hero equip an item like a hat or helmet and have it show up on the sprite. And making a bunch of different sprites would take up too much space and time, im also putting in a zelda style battle system and i want different types of weapons and armor to be displayed on the hero. Eg: you take off your sword and put on a spear or bow then it will show the spear when attacking somthing and not a sword. staff fists, etc...
You should get a "Show equipment"-script. That
I got a team today!!! Sam,Jake, and Kurt. They all did something. I might have room for 1 more...
Stay on topic.
@Zodius: You could also use several different character sets for one character, but your best bet is actually probably the script, as Blizzard said.
