Title: Larger Scale World Problem
Post by: kam_islash on March 26, 2006, 09:28:06 PM
I had this idea for linking large world maps together to make an even bigger world.

It is a painstaking process invloving lining the world map with teleportation events at the edge.  It seems to work, however  it is apparant that the teleport events do not work when a person is in a boat or an airship.

I was wondering if there was a way to get the teleport events to recognize the airship.

do remeber you can check the players x and y value to see if they are on the edge of the map this would save your tedious copying of events and maybe reduce some if any lag.

as to your other problem i havent used airships yet so i have no idea :)

Do you have the maps aligned as squares?

This a short demo made in RMXP: http://rapidshare.de/files/16511102/BigWorld.exe.html (I guess you're using RM2K3 though.)
