Title: Is there a script for this?
Post by: rpgmaker on March 24, 2006, 02:59:58 PM
For when you enter an area a little box pops up either at the top or the bottom of the screen saying the name of the location you are in.

A perfect example is in pokemon fire red and leaf green.

Many thanks

Yes there are many scripts for this, you can use the search button, I'm sure there are still a few on Crankeye's search for "Location Script"

Of course to make it work you might have to use a 'Call Script' command that autoruns when you enter the map =/

Or just use basic events :|
Why does everyone want scripts to do things that can be done easily with events?

tsu made one it's in scripts section go and find it

also you could add to every teleport a message button saying the map's name (hero touch or action key trigger, teleport and then message: you are in X)
also you could use the slipknot ams found in scripts db which can make it look good

What he wants is one that shows a little box that doesn't stop you from moving or anything, but just goes there and dissapears.
