Is there a way were your hero can catch a monster and it be added to a pokedex kind of thing?

Basicaly what you see in pokemon?

bit of a vague question really as to how exactly you intend to "catch" these monsters, but I believe the desires effect can be achieved with a simple switch function.

Could you possibly mean an unlockable bestiary... like you fight the monster enough and its information will slowly be filled out in the bestiary log?  There are some scripts for this...

U could do..uh..script OR when hero defeats monster it gets in his equipment.
Or pokeball...dont show monsters just pokeball attack

There was aa pokemon rpg...i forgot where..it had these monsters and all.
