I have seen things like minning etc. and i was wondering wether i could get a tutorial on it?

Oh its easy really
Make a variable called Mining Level. And Mining XP.
Then make an item called "Pick axe"
Now make another item called "Ore"
And make a conditional branch on a rock.
Set if Item > Pickaxe is equipped.
Message: Hero picks out an ore with ease
Update Variable Mining XP by 10.
Else >
Message:You don't have a pickaxe!
Then make another branch..
If mining XP is 50..
variable operation=add 1
else
branch end
There we go thats the level up mining skill
Oh and make sure your character gets the Ore.And the Mining Level variable is added by 1
but how do you make the minig skill??

And if you wanna get real serious with mining make a pickaxe, for ore use a rock or make one. But yeah what mental said should work noicely =P
haha I do the same with woodcutting right now...
Several trees you can cut if you have a woodcuttrer axe.. thats easy to set with fork conditions.
if you have 20 or more trees and 30 or more stones you can build a house... everywhere...
The only bad thing is that you have to make an event for every freaking tile :p
The trees u cut will grow automaticly back within 2 hours of playing..
The only problem might be that u lack creativity and can't draw the trees in several ways...
An animation of a falling tree isnt too ahrd either... again only the creativity of drawing it might be a prob. :p

Youde use a timer.
And i use this all the time. In my game i have a fishing skill,mining skill,cooking skill,tree cuting skill. I use the same stuff for each one.
But you dont have to make an animation with the ore.
Make the timer and intul the timer is finished you can say "This rock has no ore"
Ye what he sais.. Well I wouldve made a black / grey rock with silver/copper/whatever dots in it, and when mined without the dots for empty or full stones...
No offense but thats pointless it really is a waste of time to draw all that.
I just say "There is no ore in this rock"
If you really want to do this hit Move Event when the variable is up.
And hit change graphic and choose a different rock color.
i have skill systems for fishing, cooking, mining, smithing, and im almost finished with crafting... theyre all just in a demo right now though
