Title: Random Messages?
Post by: ArchZealot on December 30, 2005, 04:05:19 AM
Using RMXP and was wondering if theres a way to make a character say a different message every time you interacted with him/her?
And if he/she has said all the different messages, loop it?

Lol, Ive got an idea on what to do, havnt tested it yet tho. Heres what i think i have to do.
Create a variable in the event commands box-thingy, and make the variable between 0 and minus 1 the amount of messages ive got stored, meaning if i want to display 3 messages, i make the variable between 0 and 2. Next I make a precondition that if the variable is 0, a particular message is displayed, 1 another and finally 2 the last one.

Is that it?

You got it, but you have to make sure it resets itself to 0 at the end of the event.
