RMRK's Pokemon System (Or RMRKMon) now has its own board (http://rmrk.net/index.php/board,270.0.html)

Bigger and better than ever. Before, a pokemon had a small chance to appear under a post. That was about it. Some people would screenshot it and post it to a thread. Yeah.

Now in 2014, RMRK has its own bespoke pokemon trainer system! Like before, there is a chance that you may encounter a wild pokemon hiding out underneath someone's avatar section when viewing threads. Just the fact that you saw the pokemon is recorded in your trainer history, though you can click the pokemon to attempt to catch it:


Anyone who has at least seen a pokemon will have a trainer profile. You'll see a faint pokeball next to a user's name when viewing threads, click this to view their profile. At the top of the page there's a pokeball link to your own pokemon profile page.


As you find and catch pokemon you'll get closer towards that complete pokedex :)

NOTES:

• This is a brand new system, there may be bugs. It may also be changed quite drastically and/or often, including resets of data. This will die down once it's closer to completion.
• You must be using the new RMRK7 Theme (http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,48640.0.html) to encounter pokemon. The RMRK7 theme will soon become the default theme, so not much of a biggie.

Planned Changes, Additions etc:

• Currently, all pokemon have equal chance of appearing and equal chance to be caught. We'll be implementing rarity and catch difficulty soon.
• Currently, only generations 1 & 2 are available. This means Bulbasaur to Celebi.
• You will be able to delete (set free) pokemon you don't want soon. Though for now, you can always choose not to try and catch it.
• Trading is planned, though won't be coming any time soon.
• You'll soon be able to choose from a list of trainer images for your page.

:) Gracie helped with the trainer images to make them all uniform size. I changed hers, mine and your trainer pics directly in the database, but the "settings" page (Called PC :V) is coming soon which will allow all users to both change their trainer pictures and also release pokemon :)

Damn you for finally making me switch over and blind myself with the light theme just to catch more Pokemon. Still, got a Pikachu in my first try, so yay~

The dark variant is complete, choose it from the dropdown when selecting RMRK7 :)

Even when I choose the dark version it just changes to the light version.

We keep telling Roph there's something broken about it.

Make sure the "use this theme" url has ;vrt=dark on the end.

I dunno, it works for me. I'll soon just put a link in the footer to switch variants or something.

Ah, I see what the problem is. Well, sorta. The dropbox is on dark by default, but it doesn't add the wt=dark at the end until you switch to light and then back to dark, so it just automatically sets it to light.
