Hey guys, I've been popping in here randomly for a week or so, whenever Google has directed me here for scripts. I figured that now that I've actually registered and asked for help with stuff, I should probably introduce myself.
I'm a twenty-something year old English guy (complete with accent, ladies), with levels of cynicism usually reserved for pensioners. Probably like almost everybody here, I've been playing RPGs since I was a little kid, and most of my favourites are SNES games.
I had RM2K way back in the days before 2K3 existed (so, around 2000-2002? xP), but I only ever dabbled with it and never got around to creating anything more than a small town or a dungeon.
Now I have far too much free time on my hands, and nothing to fill it with, so I got myself RMVX and have decided to make a full game - and I'm intending for it to be massive. Probably not a good idea for my first serious project, but what the hey. I'm only making it for myself really - if other people wind up playing and enjoying it, that's just an added bonus.
I apologise if I ever come of as rude or dickish, whenever that happen it usually means I haven't slept for a while. If it's directed at someone personally, then they've somehow managed to annoy me and however rude I might be, I'll secretly be impressed, too. That's not a challenge :P
Now that that's out of the way, I'm probably going to go back to lurking. I've had far too much social interaction for one day.

There is no amount of social interaction that is "too much". (: Welcome to the forums, friend.
Also, I'd recommend VXAce. Pretty much the same as VX, only with a bunch of added features and graphics. It's much easier to work with. :)
welcome to the internet rpg maker forum homepage, found on the world wide web
we love you
Any social interaction is too much when you're not used to it ;P
I might look into getting VX Ace eventually. A friend gave me VX, and I don't really have the money to upgrade at the moment.
Looking at the differences, the only things I really want it for are the extra tilesets and better shadows, otherwise I'm pretty happy with VX. So far, at least.
Thanks for the warm welcome!
Ohai, Welcome to RMRK! You aren't related to Space Core are you?
I don't know you, that scares me.
Let's fix that. :D
I don't know anybody here. That's much scarier. It's like being the new guy in school. I hated being the new guy in school D:

Afraid not. Online I've always been just Space.
Hello and welcome to RMRK, looking forward for your RPG, so keep up the good work. :D (\s/)

You just got here and it like you know me already! Welcome to the forums, friend! x3
Well met, friend. I hope you enjoy our little community.
Does this count as a necropost?
RAWR.
Just dropping in to say I haven't died. Or forgotten you. Due to bad wiring and my landlord's having incompetent contractors who can't keep an appointment (8 callouts, 3 written complaints, 1 response), I've been without electricity at home since the start of September.
I've spent some of this time working on lore for Chrononauts, but admittedly a lot of it's been taken up by Nintend. Animal Crossing. Harvest Moon. Pokémon. And soon Zelda.
But know that I have not given up, and I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. Or something.
Peace.
