I'm sure most of you have already heard, but I'll leave this here for those of you who were oblivious like myself. x.x

Apparently they're going backwards in history a little. Should be interesting.
Excited about the game, but sad that connor isn't getting a sequel. :(
it's annoying that the only reason connor isn't getting more screen time is because all the reviewers thought he was too stoic compared to ezio. totally unfair comparison.
Connor sucked though

I'm also hoping that instead of Desmond we get to play as someone who isn't an emotionless sponge.
Well, to each his own. I personally thought Connor had a lot of great characterizing moments, especially with the homestead missions.
Yes silly goyim, I'm sure that you did.

Dammit... now I gotta go get the last one, cuz I'm not about to miss out on Assassins AND Pirates.
zzz
they should take some time off
Wasn't Assassin's Creed 3 released just last year
They need to finish the story before people stop caring 3 games ago.

that's no way to make money
If we were talking about EA, I'd laugh heartily. But I actually really like Ubisoft Montreal. I mean, people complained about DRM in their games, and they were like "okay, we'll get rid of it." And they make fun games. So they're cool in my book. Even if uPlay is utter garbage.
But I still think they should settle down, or get ready to let this franchise die.
I just hope they don't forget about Watch_Dogs in lieu of Assassins of the Caribbean.
It's pretty much the same game anyway.
okay not really i'm really excited for watch dogs
Wait, I thought uplay is drm though. I mean, you can't run your game unless you're in uplay, right? Am I wrong about this?
No you're right to an extent, my roommate wasn't able to play Assassins Creed 3 until we got internet since he already registered the game with uPlay.
I registered Assassin's Creed: Revelations once, and it let me play offline plenty of times after that.
Talking about always on DRM, here.
You know, the kind that currently destroying the new Sim City game.

I'm pretty sure they can handle working on more than one game at a time you guys.

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.
There are like 9 different ubi studios
jesus christ arl you sound like a kotaku troll
I don't understand.
The Sim City DRM nightmare is common knowledge; it's all over reddit.
Assassin's Creed: Revelations doesn't have always-on DRM. That's an actual fact.
The line completely in italics wasn't exactly serious.
neither was the line without caps or punctuation
I just don't get the contention. You guys act like releasing a game each year hasn't been a common practice.

Between 1987 and 2002 there were only five years that didn't have a final fantasy release. And I'm sure most of you agree that most of these titles were good ones.
All I'm saying is, if they release quality titles, what's the big deal?
Those were all separate games with completely different storylines. Assassin's Creed is really just one story that refuses to end.
Honestly, though, at this point I'm just playing devil's advocate. I don't really have much invested in this debate.

I thought it was obvious enough from the context, but I should note that Ubisoft Montreal (which is but one of Ubisoft's studios) is developing both titles.
>Implying that Ubisoft Montreal isn't a huge division in it's own right with multiple development teams.
>implying that I was disagreeing with you about it
Well if you agree, then what's your problem with it? :o
When did I say I had a problem with it?

I just hope they don't forget about Watch_Dogs in lieu of Assassins of the Caribbean.
So we're in agreement that they have two separate teams for these games, and that one getting more press doesn't necessarily mean the other game is getting shafted? :irock2:
I think you took that comment a bit more seriously than I intended it to be. I'm not very good at sarcasm sometimes.
Oh, my apologies then. :-X
The problem that I have is the same problem that I have with most serialized television shows: I got into it because it was enjoyable, and I want to see how the story ends. Unfortunately, because they make so much money from this franchise every year, they stretch the content thinner and thinner, until what would've made a nice trilogy turns into a 7+ game slog. I just don't give enough of a shit about it to invest that much time and money into it.
I'v given up on the main story a long time ago, I just play it for the freer-roam :p Also since this post is about Black Flag I guess I'll throw this out there...
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi113.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fn224%2Fmangamariah%2FAC4_zps20c65fa9.jpg&hash=0978b99aaa39c029843d55e8eebf764fa799cb88)
To me it seems like they don't even know what to do with the story anymore. In AC2/AC2Brotherhood (not sure which) Subject 16 mentions something about how Desmond needs to go find "Eve" (I'm guessing hes supposed to be the Adam)
Which is probably why they killed out Lucy, cuz shes not Eve or something
But then it changes to being about gods and blah blah....
PS: Did you know that AC is based on a comic, and in that comic theres a special (staff was it?) of Eden that could resurrect people? Just sayin' :blizj:
The Desmond story was all such bollocks. Got in the way of the game. That's the first thing they should fix.
It didn't make sense to me.
HEY! SPOILERS!
AC1: Why am I here? I'm not even an assassin, I'm a bartender; this doesn't make sense!
AC2: Hey, I'm finally learning how to be an assassin. I can climb shit now.
ACB: I'm kind of an assassin, now, thanks to the animus. Crazy how that sciency stuff worked, huh?
ACR: Oh, right, I guess I forgot that I trained to be an assassin my whole life. HA, MY B. ALSO, HI DAD.
I haven't played III yet, be cool.
I do like the turn it took to be about Gods and an old race and shit, though. That was actually cool, and a huge weight of uncertainty lifted at the end of ACR. I mean, they'd been hinting at it since ACII.
Again, haven't played ACIII yet. Shhh.
Honestly I was never a huge fan of desmond's excuse plot. It started out kind of interesting and then it just got silly.
Now that they're supposedly done with desmond though, maybe they'll start to get away from all the needless justification for everything.
AC3 is all about that god shit, seriously. I really just sit around and play the multiplayer now (you dont HAVE to pay for a Uplay passport for it, it usualy comes with one like always but my sister just made a Uplay account online and linked them, free) :V
I like how Connor can climb ANYTHING (He climbs cracks in rocks better then he climbs trees O_e)
