Who has created the deepest and most engrossing game you've seen? Who has ideas and designs that stand out above others?
Who makes you go "Wow, I'd have never have thought of that!" the most?
If you can, link to an example that shows what you mean.
AcoStrike, Jomarcenter & Thnap
Acolyte & Strike because Chibi Quest 2 (http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,46328.msg527297.html#msg527297), I thought it was a pretty creative cliche game.
Jomarcenter because "Who makes you go "Wow, I'd have never have thought of that!" the most?", whether or not that's a good thing is open to interpretation I guess.
Thnap because the execution (the hook) in Dungeons & Tantrums (http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,45459.0.html) caught me, the humour of mercenaries, weather changes, alternate battle style shows that a lot of creativity and effort went into it, heck I never thought to include houses on the same map and stp rain effects when we go into it.
Exhydra and Yuyubabe both impressed me with their creativity in the Haunted GIAW this year. I give some props to them for their entries.
I'm also going to throw in a surprise name with Illumination (http://rmrk.net/index.php?action=profile;area=summary;u=24530). He was the guy who made the one GIAW 9 project that centered around a poem by Edgar Allan Poe. While the project itself wasn't nearly as good as it could have been, I think the idea behind it was something pretty neat and could have been made into a much better game with more time.
