The song sounds worse than it has ever sounded in the Pokemon games because the sounds in this game ain't so hot.

It's probably a Pokemon song. They said they were going to put a bunch in because they were afraid of not doing so.

As a subsidiary of Nintendo, I'd expect there to be a lot of Nintendo related music than just Pokemon.

They haven't mentioned it and I wouldn't say it's a certainty. It's not like Rhythm Heaven has any Nintendo music in it. Maybe, though.
