Watch it...
And it a great movie but they will make more since they also show the next plot and also funnies before and after credit...
But if you skip the credit like a lot of people did I can tell you what it is...

It was the cheesiest superhero movie I've ever seen. There were 3 parts in the whole movie where I wasn't wishing for it to end soon, and the first one didn't happen until an hour in. People said it was better than Batman. It isn't. Batman was an excellent movie that happened to be about a superhero. This was a bunch of stupid dialogue, riddled with groaners, peppered with samey special effects that would be at home in any Michael Bay movie. In fact, I did think it was a Michael Bay movie for a long time. How do people bitch when he makes this type of movie, but Joss Whedon is somehow a god? I don't get it.

This is the only bitching i've heard about this movie, really.

And this movie didn't elevate him to god status, it was everything he worked on before (Firefly, Serenity, Dollhouse & Buffy).

I meant people bitch when Michael Bay makes this type of movie, but for Joss Whedon, its alright. My phrasing was a little off.

Because Avenger's hot girl was actually relevant and the humor was actually bearable. Although yes I'd say both are much too heavy on the CGI action cheese. The thing that made it better for me though was seeing Iron Man shoot his beam off of Captain America's shield which I always thought was the coolest shit ever in Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I just hope this success means maybe we'll get another Firefly movie. :(

I agree with Holk a liiiitle on this one. I found the movie quite slow and boring till
Loki kills that SHIELD agent
, but after that it kinda kicks off. Yeah, mainly the ending action sequences. I dunno, maybe it wasn't that good but seeing all the superheroes I've been watching on TV, comics etc there on the big screen together, and realizing that "Wow, they ACTUALLY made this movie" kinda got me to like it.
But yes, there were 2-3 scenes where I felt that, "Man, this is so boring"

But those were mainly in the first half.
And no, it isn't better than Batman in my opinion.
But it does come under one of Marvel's better (if not best) attempts.

Because I frankly hated the first Hulk movie, the Spiderman series, Ghost Rider, Fantastic Four (both). The more recent Marvel movies are much better..

I also really...didn't care for this movie.  Or rather, don't care.  A friend is streaming it right now and I'm wishing for it to just end, so I don't seem rude for just abandoning her livestream.  |D  I find myself cringing every 2 minutes at how badly norse mythology is being butchered.  I also did not count on having to watch all the other super hero movies to understand what is what and who is who.  (I've only seen the ironman ones because frankly, super heroes bore the shit out of me.)  I mean, I like some...I like batman and I like xmen, and I did like ironman.

I just find this movie to be a bit.... cheesy.

That whole long take with the heroes battling was pretty freaking awesome, yeah, but I still don't see why he had to do that. Unless the Marvel universe acts on Final Fantasy logic, where reflected magic deals twice as much damage or something.

ONLY if they somehow work the Shepherd into the plot!

Personally I enjoyed it, I grew up with the comics so it was all very nostalgic...
It was a lot funnier then I expected it to be - and I was surprised to find that it worked rather well.

But I'm a Tony Stark fanboy, so... I'm not being objective.

I just found it entertaining, but it's not like Batman. I think those two are completely different that it's quite unfair to compare them. In my opinion, Avengers is targeted to casual audience (and of course, to attract new people to follow the series). Batman, on the other hand, is more like a movie dedicated to devoted fans.
