To participate in Stencyl Jam 2012 you simply need to make a game with Stencyl and submit it between May 1st and July 31st. Please include the following to enter:
1) Include our Stencyl Jam button, available in white or black and link it to this page.
2) Tag your submission with both "stencyl" and "stencyljam2012" so it can be found in tag searches.
3) If you choose to include ads, please use the NG Ad API.
Your game can be sponsored and still participate if you follow the above criteria. Our submission system allows sponsor co-authoring and revenue sharing.
Entries will be judged by the NG staff and will also take user votes into consideration. Winners receive cash!
1st Place - $500
2nd Place - $300
3rd Place - $200
If you've never made a game before, this is a great time to give it a shot! If you aren't an artist, you could build your game with placeholder art and pitch it to your favorite artists here on NG. Be sure you have a game to show them though, so they know what they are getting themselves into if they help out.

BONUS: If you make a game with a robot theme and submit it on July 10th, you can participate in Robot Day and be eligible for prizes in both contests! Be sure to follow the badge link and tag rules for both competitions.
I always like contests like this. Why represent one game for $500 when you can get represented by all games for $500.
