Title: [XP]Dialogue question
Post by: Sacrifyx on September 21, 2011, 09:26:14 PM
In my game, I have several classes for each character that they'll change to when certain conditions are met, doing that is not an issue. In dialogue, I'd like them, on occasion, to be referred to by their class rather than their name. Is there a way to do that within text entry, or does anyone know of a script that has that functionality (I'm currently using Letter By Letter)?

I believe MA's Advance Text System has that functionality. Take a look at it

Yeah, but that's for VX. For XP, you'll want something like Dubalex's ATS or Ccoa's UMS.

Thanks for the reply. As I understand it, the Letter by Letter is something of an extension of and improvement on Dubealex's system. I tried it briefly, didn't care for something or other in it but noticed how similar the script was to the one I was using. I went back, checked out the script and found that the command I needed was already built in to the script, just left out of the list of 'features' in the forum thread/readme, so all is good.
