Hi guys,
I'm having a few problems trying to edit the default battle system to work to my liking (since I'm a sucker at scripting >_<) so I would like to request some help from veteran scripter around. I'm also using Yanfly's Display Party Data, Scene Battle Redux, Svykal's CogWheel Bars and Synthesize's Battleback (which are all included in the end of this post).
Here is the mock-up of my idea (it's done with Photoshop)

In detail:
- The upper part of the screen: This window is to control characters' action. Simple enough, the battle starts with Engage and Escape (if it's not too much trouble, I would like the text to be accompanied by Icons as well). The Escape will be black out if not allowed.
Upon choosing Engage, four other commands Atk, Def, Item and Skill will show up.
For choosing which monster to attack, there will be a cursor hovering above the monster and the monster flash white, one, as in the picture. I would like the upper window to display the monster's name and the states it's inflicted with as well, for example:
Angel [Cursed, Poisoned]
Just the two highest priority states will do.
- The lower part of the screen: Here display character's faceset. Four character is used at max, but if current party member number is less than 4, the window should be centered. Buff/Debuff icons should lie vertically to the left of the character's faceset, up to 4 highest priority to be shown.
If possible, please help me change the character's name location to above the HP bar (like in the picture) and remove the HP and MP indicator of the bars also (also like in the picture)
- When the character started to attack, his faceset should flash white, just one, like in RMXP.
It's that simple, but it took me few days messing with it with no luck at all >_< So I would be really grateful if any scripter around can spend sometimes helping me with this. Thanks so so so much

hmm .. is there anything missing that I should include for someone to help me with this???
It's not that you're missing anything, it's actually a lot better than most of the requests we get around here, but these edits aren't as simple as they seem. Sure, you're not requesting for a complete overhaul on the system, but they're still quite annoying to get around, especially the buff/debuff icons you want displayed.
Mm as far as I know .. The Display Party code that Yanfly made already enable displaying 4 state icons already ... I thought the request only involves re-locate those icons (since I included the script demo right under so it's possible to just work with the demo) ... But if it's troublesome then reallocating the won't be necessary ... I just wish for the upper window and choosing monster to work properly that's all.-
I'm kinda swamped at the moment, but I can see what I can do if no one else does.
If I finish my to-do list before Zylos can get around to it, I'll take a crack at it.
