I want to have a cook who will cook things for you if you bring the required items like for a salad bring say lettuce, tomato, and olives then he will take one of each from your inventory and give you a salad. Does anyone know of a script I can do that with?

Most any alchemy/synthesizing/construction script built for VX. Sorry I can't link one, I'm in a bit of a rush.

There are quite a number of crafting/cooking scripts if you search, though what you mention in your post you could easily do with just a regular quest event. o_o
