It's apparently free now. Has anyone played it? Is it any good?

It's been "free" for awhile. They've ended up tripling their income, I do believe.

I haven't played it, wouldn't mind trying, it's just that the client is so damn large. Also, I'm kinda over MMOs now.

I've been wanting to play a good MMO for a while now. Didn't have the money to keep playing WoW, and all the other free MMO's I've found suck. I'm a pretty big LotR fan, so I thought I'd check it out. But like you said, the client is huge. I don't wanna waste that much space on a game that isn't good.

I wanted to play, but it takes to long to download.

Be a bard and run around annoying people with your flute. It's the only fun part of the game!

There's a bard class? That's freaking awesome.
Do they actually let you go through all of Middle Earth, or is it just certain areas?
